And yet, here we are on the first day of Hanukkah - the festival commemorating the successful restoration of Jewish sovereignty in their historical homeland some nine centuries before the Arab imperial conquest of the Land of Israel. Somehow modern “decolonization” theory sees the Jews and not the Arabs as the colonizers.
Over the next seven days, the world needs to be reminded that Hanukkah is not just the “festival of lights” but a proper example of decolonization. Let the “pro-“Palestinians and their academic fellow travelers try to explain it away.
