There is at least a decent chance that the next Presidential election will see an AOC vs. VP J.D. Vance battle. AOC is a member of The Squad, which hates Israel, and Vance's feelings towards Israel are cool at best. Israel needs to prepare itself for an American Administration that is much less friendly towards it.
Israel's national security goals in this case are identical to America's - the elimination of Iran's nuclear and and missile programs; ending the funding of proxy terrorist gangs like Hezbollah, the Houthis and Hamas; and the elimination of the Islamic fundamentalist regime of the mullahs.
The attainment of those goals - if they can be obtained - would benefit the entire region.
Far from being dragged into this war by Israel, America has been extremely fortunate to have Israeli expertise and cooperation in this just and defensive war.

I was hoping that after Thomas Friedman wrote a book (that I sadly might have paid for) that spent many pages raving about the wonderful diversity and functionality of the state of Minnesota which all other states should emulate, the murder of George Floyd followed and then the biggest state fraud in modern US history. Any fool can espouse ideas. But Friedman is not the guy to take any sort of advice from, as his 'genius' analysis of Minnesota and the Middle East for that matter proves. Strange bird. Carslon, with his heckling laugh and innocent "sweet" questions along with his relationship from college days with David Sachs (whom I do hold in high regard) makes him think he can easily whitewash the virulent hatred that runs through him. Israel already knows it cannot rely solely on the United States. It got by from 1948 to 1972 with purchasing its weapons from France and the UK, mostly France, until that country turned. Israel is doing its utmost to be self reliant for a tiny country. They seem to be getting closer to India, which isn't a world power but is the most populous country in the world.
They do need to find a viable alternative to the US and asap. The steady decline of The American Empire is already afoot.
